What is the purpose of the Biblical Counseling Database?

This site provides scriptural resources on common issues faced in counseling.  It presents God’s Word as the ultimate resource for how and what to counsel.  

How do I use this site?

Use this database to guide the discussion of relevant issues during counseling.  At the conclusion of the session, the data for the topic(s) covered can be given to the counselee – – either in the form of a hard-copy print-out or through a follow-up e-mail.  The counselor may also add action steps that the counselee has agreed to take, and notes on additional scripture or subjects discussed.  You may bookmark this site and view and use the topics online.  If you want to add scriptures or topics to the database you can download the database to your own computer and do so.  To download and save the entire database of all topics, click here:  Download the Biblical Counseling Database.

Can I share this material with others?

Yes.  You may download the material to your computer and make copies of it to distribute free of charge to others via email, CD ROM, a thumb drive, or SD card.  You may not charge for this material or reproduce it for commercial distribution.  You may also use the icons on the home page to share this site with others via social media.  

Who developed and hosts this site?

Do you provide counseling?

No, we do not.  We simply provide the Biblical Counseling Database as a resource for those who counsel biblically.  

For whom is the site designed?

This site is designed for those seeking biblical counsel for their lives; professional Christian counselors, ministers, chaplains, and believers desiring to counsel and help others.  The database can also be used by new believers as a primer to familiarize themselves with biblical guidelines for living in the Kingdom of God.

Can I put this material on my own home page?

Please do not repost this database on your web page.  Instead, link your site to the”Biblical Counseling Database”,  as this material will be updated regularly and with additional topics and scriptures. 

Can I add to this database?

The database is in MW Word format so when downloaded, you can personalize it by adding relevant topics and scriptures. 

Will you be further developing this site?

Yes.  We will be updating the site from time to time with additional topics and relevant  scriptures.  If you would like to notify us of an error, suggest a topic to be added to the database, suggest a scripture for an existing topic, or have questions or comments, click HERE.

Do you offer training in Biblical Counseling?

No, we do not.
